Who Is Simon Miller?

The premiere of Who Is Simon Miller? is on Saturday, August 6 on NBC at 8pm ET/7pm CT.

Like most families, the Millers have their challenges. Simon’s (Loren Dean) frequent business trips have created some distance between him and the rest of the family, leaving Meredith (Robyn Lively) stretched and struggling to keep things together. Daughter Sarah, an 18-year-old honor student, has recently gotten herself into trouble at school while son Kevin, 15, struggles to engage with anything outside of a video game. However, these issues all prove to be trivial when Simon goes missing.

Sensing something is not right, the family frantically searches Simon’s office for information. Discovery of a stash of passports, all with Simon’s picture but each with a different alias, reveals that their father has been keeping more than a few secrets. In a frantic phone call, Simon urges the family not to tell anyone of his disappearance, not even the authorities, right before the line goes dead. Who is Simon Miller? And what exactly has he gotten himself – and now his family – into?

Shocked, scared and unsure if they can even trust the dad they thought they knew, the three embark on their own international mission to get him back. With Meredith’s sharp instincts, Sarah’s foreign language skills and Kevin’s natural tech genius, they try to unravel the mystery behind his disappearance. It’s a heart-pounding family thriller that tests the limits to which families will fight for each other.


Character Descriptions
SIMON MILLER
Simon is in his late 30’s- early 40’s and can be described as ruggedly handsome. He has a wife and two teenage kids, and is supposedly a geologist who travels constantly for his job, but that’s just a cover for his teal work as a covert intelligence operative with CAD. During his latest mission, helping a Chechen scientist escape to the U.S., Simon is abducted and must work together with his captor to bring down a traitor at CAD. Desperate to protect his family, who have figured out his situation and come to Europe to save him, Simon realized that he hasn’t always been the most present husband and father. He’s impressed and amazed by his wife and children’s abilities and proud to see them use their skills as a team.


MEREDITH MILLER
Meredith, Simon’s wife, is in her late 30’s- early 40’s and can be described as lovely and intense. She’s an amazing chef who is also skilled in Piloxing (Pilates and boxing).Intelligent, logical, and quick thinking, Meredith strives for harmony and balance in her life, but is accustomed to raising the children by herself because of Simon’s erratic travel schedule. When Simon doesn’t return home from his latest trip, Meredith grows suspicious and launches an investigation into his whereabouts. She’s stunned to discover that Simon is leading a double life, and her faith in him is somewhat shaken as she races against the clock to save him. Meredith proves to be an innovative fighter, and she’s pleasantly surprised to discover that her children are possessed of hidden talents as well.


SARAH MILLER
Sarah Miller is 18, pretty, athletic, and strong-willed; she’s also a skilled gymnast and a whiz at languages. When Simon, who is supposedly a geologist, goes missing, his true identity and secret double life is revealed: he’s a spy for CAD. Sarah is thrown by her father’s lies at first, but she and her younger brother Kevin insist on accompanying their mother on a quest to find and save their dad, and soon the entire Miller family is on a grand international adventure straight out of a James Bond story. Because of her gymnastics lessons, Sarah is capable of improvised moves, which came in handy when fighting and fleeing her enemies. Her fluency in French and Spanish also help rescue her family from various jams. Best of all, while helping her dad on his mission, Sarah comes to realize that her family is pretty cool after all.


KEVIN MILLER

At 15, Kevin is intelligent and adorable; he’s an expert hacker and gamer and well- versed in spy novels and old films. Although he and his older sister Sarah bicker a lot, underneath it all they support one another wholeheartedly. Kevin is smart, inventive and brave and throughout their adventure, Kevin repeatedly surprises his family with his techno-savvy solutions and clever lock-picking abilities.






AMANDA
Amanda is a spy operative and Simon’s boss at CAD. She has a tough maternal way about her and rescues Meredith, Sarah, and Kevin from a dangerous situation. Amanda appears to be a strong, sympathetic figure they can trust and rely on, but she may in fact be more dangerous than the people she saved the Millers from.
