CLOSED Giveaway: Truvia Nature's Calorie Free Sweetener

truvia
Sweetness born from a leaf, not in a lab. Meet the stevia plant. The proud parent of our natural sweetener. People have been sweetening foods and beverages with stevia leaves for hundreds of years. The taste comes from a natural ingredient from the leaves called rebiana.

Rebiana is what gives Truvia® natural sweetener its clean, honest sweet taste. Simple. Who knew going green could be so good?

Things to KnowTruvia® natural sweetener is refreshingly uncomplicated. Sprinkle it on your grapefruit. Spoon it in your coffee. It won't end up on your conscience or your thighs.

One packet of Truvia® natural sweetener provides the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar.

Truvia® natural sweetener is a great alternative for people with diabetes. It is also kosher certified.

Truvia can be used for sooo many different things! It can be used to sprinkle on fruit, thrown in an iced tea, or mixed in a pie. It can be mixed into all of your everyday recipes. The truvia website has a great number of recipes to try.  All of the foods and drinks at the website look so delicious and they have less calories thanks to the all natural sweetener truvia! While checkin out the recipes I found some great summer drinks to make and just a few of them are listed below....

Elderflower Spritzer

yield: Makes 10 servings
preparation time: 15 minutes
total time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Ingredients
1 bottle white wine, preferably Sauvignon Blanc, approximately 3 cups
2/3 cup Elderflower liqueur (available at Beverages & More, and most local wine stores)
2 cups sparkling water
1 Tbsp + 2 1/4 tsp Truvia® natural sweetener spoonable*
½ large lemon, sliced into ¼" circles
1 small orange, sliced into ¼" circles
2/3 cup red flame or green grapes, sliced in half
* or 6 packets Truvia® natural sweetener

Instructions
1. In a drink pitcher, stir together the white wine, elderflower liquer, and Truvia® natural sweetener. Add in the fruit. Refrigerate for 1 hour, or up to overnight, so the fruit absorbs some of the flavors. Right before serving, stir the drink and add in the sparkling water.

yield: Makes 2 servings
preparation time: 10 minutes
total time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
½ cup cachaca or good quality rum (for a non-alcoholic version substitute 2/3 cup club soda)
1 teaspoons aged balsamic vinegar
6 medium sized strawberries, rinsed and quartered
10 medium sized basil leaves, roughly chopped
2/3 cup pineapple juice, with no added sugar
2 Tablespoons lime juice, approximately 2 limes
1 3/4 tsp Truvia® natural sweetener spoonable*
½ cup crushed ice
* or 2 packets Truvia® natural sweetener

Instructions
1. In a tumbler, combine the basil, strawberries and lime juice. Muddle the mixture by pounding to break up the berries and release the basil flavor.
2. Add the cachaca or rum, balsamic vinegar, pineapple juice, Truvia® natural sweetener, and ice into the tumbler. Shake for several minutes, until the drink is chilled and well blended.
3. Strain only half of the mixture, so that you still get a few pieces of basil and strawberry in each glass. Serve the drink in a well chilled martini glass.
