Holiday Entertaining Guide Review: Olive Tap

BannerFans.com

The Olive Tap
The Olive Tap is both a Tasting Emporium and Gourmet Market, a truly unique opportunity to taste and savor our broad selection of 100% extra virgin olive oils, flavored oils, aged balsamic vinegars, spices, herbs and seasonings. With our new and larger location, we have expanded our Gourmet Market to include an expansive offering of sauces, condiments, in addition to serving and entertaining accessories.

We are among a handful of stores with access to a broad selection of the freshest extra virgin olive oils in the United States. We also offer an expansive array of perfectly-aged, plain and flavored imported Balsamic Vinegars of Modena.

I was sent 2 small samples of the below products from The Olive Tap to review!
Tuscan Herb Olive Oil
Our Tuscan Herb Olive Oil is an amazing proprietary blend of several herbs including Oregano, Basil, Garlic, and Rosemary. An instant hit at our inaugural tastings with Olive Tap regulars, we were convinced that we had finally found dipping oil worthy of The Olive Tap name. A total of 6 different herbs were selected, and then their essential oils were added in a precise ratio to a very high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The result: a superior Bread Dipping and Seasoning Oil that exhibits a superlative balance of fresh herb flavors.

Pour it straight from the bottle for bread dipping, and to season grilled or roasted vegetables, meats and potatoes. Drizzle it on, after cooking or grilling to release the maximum amount of flavor.

Aceto Balsamico di Modena, Riserva
This is a very rich and thick Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, produced using a secret recipe handed down from father to son over 3 centuries. Similar to the 25 Star/25 years style Balsamic Vinegars, its high concentration of cooked grape must and long barrel aging result in a superior product reserved for lovers of Italian culinary tradition.

Olive Tap Riserva is best enjoyed as a topping, condiment, or glaze. It is traditionally served on fresh strawberries, peaches, other fruits and ice cream. Drizzle it over chicken, fish, meats, eggs and vegetables for an intense flavor sensation.

I'm not a huge in the know of oils but I do know when I taste a good oil! I do love a good Balsamic oil over my fried fish & this oil was probably one of the best I have tasted hands down. If you don't have a good tasting Balsamic oil when you pour over your fish it ruins the taste! This is also really good when making turkey burgers (yes turkey burgers). But of course just like with the fish you have to have a good oil or your food will not be so good!

I use the Olive oil to rub my steaks down & marinate before I grilled them (well Tim actually did it but I will take the credit)! Again you can tell that this is a high end oil & it kept true to its flavor.

If you are having any type of Holiday Gathering I would highly recommend both oils!
