Following up its success with You’ve been Sentenced, McNeill Designs’ added the award-winning memory game Twisted Fish, numerous You’ve been Sentenced! themed add-on decks, and more to its roster of products. Most recently, the firm announced the launch of a NASA Space Terminology Deck themed add-on deck for the You’ve been Sentenced! word game.

Our philosophy of giving back
From the earliest stages of the firm’s development, McNeill Designs for Brighter Minds has been committed to using its success to help support important charitable causes. McNeill Designs currently donates a portion of sales of the word game You’ve been Sentenced! to Success Won't Wait, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit organization that helps fight illiteracy through the distribution of books.

For ages 8 and up, 30-40 min to play, 3-10 players, with extensive rule variations available on the website.

The real fun begins when players have to read their sentences out loud and explain what they mean to the rest of players. They form the jury and vote thumbs up or down on whether the sentence and justification stand and the points are scored. 540 cards with over 2,500 words insure billions of possible sentences so the game is never repetitive and has unlimited re-play value.

Multiple other methods of play are available on our website that turn "You've been Sentenced!" into not just a game, but a full game system! We even have a lesson plan to turn "You've Been Sentenced!" into a classroom teaching tool. This game makes learning grammar and sentence construction fun and easy.

Bringing friends and families together

"You've Been Sentenced!" appeals to all ages and skill levels. Socially interactive, players become members of the Jury and can ask a player to justify and defend the grammar, sense and meaning of the sentence. The player has a chance to convince the Jury to accept their often outrageous and hilarious sentences.

A word deck with over 2,500 individual words, plus Wild Cards, ensures an infinite number of sentences, guaranteeing maximum re-play value. "You've Been Sentenced!" offers unlimited play, without ever becoming stale or repetitive.

To spice things up, there are add on decks that you can purchase seperately. There are six different catagories to choose from. There is the Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Prepare for a warp speed ride through the most memorable of the ever popular sci-fi/fantasy genre! There is the NASA Space Terminology Add-On Deck which will teach you about the planets and beyond. The Pop Culture Add-On Deck will help the younger generation score more points with the up to date lingo of today.The Gourmet Cuisine Add-On Deck, which is overflowing with famous chefs, exotic spices, and all of the kitchen gizmos necessary to cook up some fun. For all the sports fans out there..the Sports Highlights Add-On Deck contains the lingo of the field, court, and diamond, legendary sports heroes, technical terms, and favorite teams. And last, but not least there is the Brain Buster Add-On Deck.

At first I believed that this game would be too much for my brain to handle. When I watched the short video on how to play the game I changed my mind. This game is a fun and entertaining way to spend time with family and friends. It is a very creative way to learn how to put sentences together. Teachers can use this game as an educational tool in their classrooms! The only hang up I saw with this game is that everyone has to agree on whether the sentence passes or not. Everyone likes to win. =)

I think it is a great idea to have add on decks. The add on decks add a variety of categories that are sure to hit on everyone's interests.  I personally like the pop culture deck.
