Review: “Winnie the Pooh” hits theatres on July 15th!

Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with “Winnie the Pooh.” Featuring the timeless charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical “bear of very little brain” and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo—and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail.  “Ever have one of those days where you just can’t win, Eeyore?” asks Pooh.  Owl sends the whole gang on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. It turns out to be a very busy day for a bear who simply set out to find some honey. Inspired by three stories from A.A. Milne’s books in Disney’s classic, hand-drawn art style.

This Movie is sure to please all Winnie the Pooh fans! It is an old school kind of flick. It is not a "new" kind of movie with the latest 3d or special effects. My niece Ava had the opportunity to enjoy this children's classic and had no complaints! Watch all of your favorite characters come to life in this family friendly film.

Review: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES

 Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall, “Pirates of the Caribbean : On Stranger Tides” captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise—this time in Disney Digital 3D™. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed adventure. Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica (Penélope Cruz), he’s not sure if it’s love—or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the “Queen Anne’s Revenge,” the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past. The international cast includes franchise vets Geoffrey Rush as the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Captain Jack’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs, plus Sam Claflin as a stalwart missionary and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey as a mysterious mermaid.

Alright let me start out by saying that yes Jack Sparrow is still the hottest pirate ever!! I was a little leary of having a new leading female pirate taking the place of Elizabeth, but I have to admit that Angelica fit the role.

 This movie was full of twist and turns. Even though  Davey Jones was not in this movie Blackbeard took his place with his evil ways.

 And we cannot forget that Will Turner was not in this movie either, but a new character Philip the missionary was able to help us forget with his love for a beautiful mermaid named Syrena.

This movie was AWESOME 3d!! I felt like I was in the movie with the characters. I actually felt like I was in the ocean and mermaids were swimming around me! My 8 year old son went with me and he loved it!! Of course his favorite parts during the movie is when he was startled and jumping out of his seat or when he got to see skeletons and zombies. This is definately a must see movie!! Espescially 3d!
