If You Care kitchen and household products are carefully and deliberately crafted to have the least environmental impact and the lightest carbon footprint possible, while at the same time, delivering to the consumer, the highest quality and most effective results.

 
 
If You Care products are produced with a view to reducing the amount of waste in our waste streams. If possible, nothing should remain after the product has been used and properly disposed of. The packaging of every product is made from unbleached and whenever possible, recycled cardboard or paper which should be recycled again. The coffee filters, parchment paper, baking cups, waxed paper and sandwich bags are 100% biodegradable and should be composted. The aluminum foil is made from recycled aluminum and can be recycled again.


All If You Care paper products are unbleached and totally chlorine free. Since no chlorine is used for bleaching, no chlorine is dumped into our lakes, rivers and streams.

I was also sent information about who If You Care is & what they believe in! I am totally impressed by the change that they are a part of & why we need to make drastic changes in how we live & treat our home (earth).

Snack and Sandwich Bags

Made in Sweden from the unbleached pulp of Scandinavian spruce trees – a natural, renewable resource – If You Care Snack and Sandwich Bags are greaseproof, and provide a natural barrier which prevents grease or fat from penetrating. They are not treated with petroleum based paraffin wax or any other wax. Like all of our If You Care paper products, these snack and sandwich bags are totally chlorine-free, as a result of which, no chlorine is dumped into our lakes, rivers and streams. Perfect for snacks, cookies, muffins, nuts, chips, sandwiches and much more.

If You Care 100% Biomass Firelighters are made from FSC-certified wood and 100% non-GMO vegetable oil. Use these environmentally friendly fire starting cubes to replace those made with kerosene and other petroleum products. For fireplaces, grills, wood burning stoves and campfires, use 3 – 4 per fire. They burn for 8 – 10 minutes. If You Care Biomass Firelighters are extremely stable, have a long shelf life, do not lose firepower or dry out when left open, are not oily or greasy; have no unpleasant smells, are non explosive and non toxic, and can be stored with food.



If You Care 100% Biomass Firelighters are made with wood from sustainably managed forests and vegetable oil. IYC Firelighters are non-toxic and harmless when in contact with plants, vegetation or aquatic organisms. If You Care 100% Biomass Firelighters can be safely stored near or with food.


No Petroleum Products
Some firelighters contain kerosene and /or paraffin or paraffin wax, all derived from petroleum, and therefore based on fossil fuels. With the combustion of some firelighters, formaldehyde- a substance which has been classified as a human carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and as a probable human carcinogen by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - may be released. If You Care 100% Biomass Firelighters are 100% from renewable resources and non-toxic.


Carbon Neutral Emissions
Because If You Care Firelighters are made 100% from biomass- wood and vegetable oil- the emission resulting from their combustion are considered carbon neutral. This is due to the fact that the CO2 emitted from the combustion of biomass is offset by reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere as a result of new biomass growth. This is in accordance with guidelines by the EPA as well as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The same cannot be said for firelighters using petroleum products, such as kerosene, paraffin wax or slack wax.
